Why did you choose your internship?

I chose this internship because I wanted to advance my professional career in agricultural education. I love helping students in the FFA and I seek to serve with it. Pouring into students FFA experiences matters to me, because our organization is powerful.

What did you gain from your internship experience?

I learned a lot about myself and discovered a ton of agricultural and FFA topics. I figured out what I value, who I am, and how to advocate for those items in an interview setting. I also learned a lot about agricultural issues and how to frame them up in conversational settings.

What factors influenced your decision to choose this experience for your internship?

The opportunity was clear for me to choose this opportunity since I was so heavily involved in FFA as a University Freshman. I choose this internship because helping students and making the FFA experience possible is something that matters to me. I was impacted by the FFA, and making that impact possible for others is an inspiring task.

What advice do you have for other students as they search for their internship?

My advice is to say yes to opportunities and chances. Sometimes we may be presented with tasks that seem daunting and unattainable, and searching for an internship can bring some of those feelings. Say yes to those chances by pouring in the work, hours, and energy to land in that experience.

How has your internship experience influenced your plans for your future?

I learned technical and employability skills that make me a more rounded person. My work ethic has increased, and now I feel capable and confident when searching for further work and internships. This internship has impacted my future by providing a clear pathway that I can go on, self-assured of my own abilities the entire time.
