Why did you choose your internship?
I chose this internship because i'm interested in produce sales. This internship gave me exposure to sales, production, and a better insight of the industry. This internship helped me gain the skills needed in order to become a better seller and someday open my own company.
What did you gain from your internship experience?
Gained knowledge in sales which is the most important part. In this internship I gained experienced also in logistics, order entries, warehouse operations, inventory management, accounts payable, field management, produce packaging, brokerage, POS system.
What factors influenced your decision to choose this experience for your internship?
Good paying internship, with the possibility of landing a full-time job. They are a well known company with good profits. I want to work for the best to gain the best skills.
What advice do you have for other students as they search for their internship?
Look for an opportunity that leads to the goals you have in mind for your professional career. Even if it's a very underpaid job, look at the job as an experience and learning curve that will help you build the skills needed in order to be successful. Take advantage of the opportunity.
How has your internship experience influenced your plans for your future?
It has influenced in the way I think about my future. It has helped me think about what I want to do once I graduate. It has inspired me to persevere and be more ambitious while taking bigger risks.
