Why did you choose your internship?

I thought that of the internships I looked at it would fit me best. It had the most options and avenues to learn and try different things. Tucson Village Farm has a strong relational environment designed or benefit everyone interacting with it.

What did you gain from your internship experience?

I gained a wide variety of experiences that were agriculture-centric. I grew some of the more direct agricultural skills that I have learned. I developed good relationships with new people that I'm glad and proud to know.

What factors influenced your decision to choose this experience for your internship?

TVF had a well developed internship program. The joy that I saw in the people involved at TVF. The breadth of experiences available at TVF.

What advice do you have for other students as they search for their internship?

Take the opportunity that matches you best at an organization where people love what they do. Take advantage of the opportunity to meet new people and develop strong relationships. Constantly learn and adapt in your work.

How has your internship experience influenced your plans for your future?

It has helped to broaden the breadth of my experience and has given me a more open view of the options available. I've been able to learn some of the things that like doing. I've also learned and seen how having a positive outlook can strengthen the quality of work and benefit the ability we have in our work.
