Jamie Deconcini

Bio

Jamie DeConcini is an Instructor and Instructional Specialist in the Department of Agricultural Education, Technology and Innovation (AETI) at the University of Arizona. She is also a Tucson Native as well as an alum of the University of Arizona and AETI. Jamie obtained her bachelor’s degree in Agriculture Technology Management and Education with an emphasis in Leadership in Communication and her master’s degree in Agricultural Education with an emphasis in Research. She completed a master’s thesis titled The Influence of Social Media Content Framing on Audience Perceptions of the Wild Horse and Burro Controversy which was published in the Journal of Agricultural Education.

While in graduate school, Jamie helped to teach AED 295B: Heritage and Traditions of the University of Arizona which helped to inspire the development of AED 295C: Wildcat Traditions of the University of Arizona. AED 295C is offered to main, online, distance, global, and community campus students during the fall, spring, and summer semesters. The course aims to connect University of Arizona students to the school’s rich history, heritage, and traditions.
