Why did you choose your internship?

Being a Greenhand Leadership Conference (GLC) Facilitator was a way to stay involved in the National FFA Organization. I find facilitation a fun, silly, and awesome job where I am also challenged and pushed to learn. Working with California FFA is a great way to travel, teach and inspire others, and give back to the organization.

What advice do you have for other students as they search for their internship?

My advice for finding internships is to identify people and resources who can help you, maybe your academic and club advisors or reliable websites. Then, change your cover letter and resume to pertain to each application and use advisors or the career center for help to perfect it. Also, create a great LinkedIn profile and use that website to find some. It is helpful to talk to past students who have completed the internship, always follow up if you don't hear back, and have fun with it! Your experience should be full of learning and fun times.
