Why did you choose your internship?
I chose this internship mainly to gain experience in the farming industry. When I got the opportunity to do it, I thought it would be a good place to learn some basic operations of a farm. Because I know the owner of Barnes Harvesting, I was ensured to have a spot for the little time that I was interning there.
What advice do you have for other students as they search for their internship?
In regards to selecting an internship, I think the most important part is finding something in your field and pursuing that. Even if it is not exactly what you want to be doing as a job when you get out of college, I think it is good to have some general knowledge and experience to ensure that is what you want to actually do. I think most internships are beneficial because you may learn that you really want to do something or maybe it is not really the industry for you.
